Some 1,300 people came to an event, “How
should be continue with our struggle in 2016,” held on Jan. 23 in Tokyo. It was
organized by a citizen’s coalition to demand abolishment of security law and
recovery of constitutionalism. There remains less than half a year till the
upper house election in summer. Unfortunately, joint struggle of the opposition
parties has not yet been organized. What is the reason for that? Panelists
discussed how people can push back in the hard times. Emceed by Professor
YAMAGUCHI Jiro, a panel of speakers-- MORI Tatsuya, movie director, AOI Miho,
constitution scholar, MIURA Mari, political science professor, and SUWAHARA Ken
of SEALDs—discussed the issues.
“The Abe administration is facing the toughest
time,” Yamaguchi said. “It had political money scandal of one of its
ministries, an election in Okinawa and the nation’s economy. I guarantee that
the government will fall part. We should never get a pessimistic look on the
situation. Let’s move forward. By moving forward, we will change the politics.”

「イヤな時代をどう押し返すか」～市民連合シンポジウムに1300人
1月23日、東京北区で「2016年をどう戦い抜くか」が開催された。主催は、安保法制の廃止 と立憲主義の回復を求める市民連合。会場となった、北とぴあ・さくらホールは、1300人の参加者で満 杯となった。夏の参議院選挙まで半年を切った中、全国で野党共闘は思うようにすすんでいない。その 原因はどこにあるのか。パネルディスカッション「イヤな時代をどう押し返すか」では、その課題を民 衆の側の問題としてとらえ、討論した。登壇したのは、映画監督・森達也さん、憲法学者・青井美帆さ ん、政治学者・三浦まりさん、SEALDｓ・諏訪原建さん。モデレーターの山口二郎さんは、「安倍政権 は、今結構ピンチだ。大臣の金の問題、沖縄の選挙、経済など、必ずほころびがくる。私たちは決して 悲観する必要はない。動きましょう。動くことで政治は変わる」と最後を締めた。（湯本雅典）
